Homework Term 1 Week 5

Remember warm clothes for our field trip on Friday!

Spelling – Get someone in your family to test you each night and sign their name
Reading – Do not forget to write a comment about what you read each night, with the date and title of your book. You are expected to read for at least 15min each night. Read a book from home, library book, a magazine, the newspaper etc.

Remember all homework must be handed in on Friday

Maths: Write the following numbers in in words:

Do this in your books not on the sheet

Spelling:
Write each of your spelling words into a correct sentence. You must underline each spelling word with a ruler. All sentences must be spell checked and have correct punctuation.

Don’t forget to bring sensible shoes for athletics/running practice every day this week.

Spelling – Get someone in your family to test you each night and sign their name. (you can practice by writing each word out over and over on scrap paper if you like but your parents still need to sign your book).

Reading – Do not forget to write a comment about what you read each night, with the date and title of your book. You are expected to read for at least 15min each night. Read a book from home, library book, a magazine, the newspaper etc.

Remember all homework must be handed in on Friday unless you have a note from your parents.

Inquiry

Find four plants around your house and draw them neatly in your homework book with the all the parts labelled.

Language
Write the most interesting adjectives you can think of in the blank spaces to make this story more interesting.

Silly Spelling
-You need to put all your spelling words into a silly spelling story/sentences. They can be as crazy as you like.
-It must be spell checked and punctuated correctly.
-There will be a prize for the most entertaining story
-You may write it on the computer if you like.
-Your spelling words must be underlined or highlighted.
